Biography:
As a Pro: Ford was selected by the Pride in the fourth round (35th overall) of the 2006 MLL Supplemental Draft. 2007: Ford was the Pride’s leading scorer in 2007, finding the back of the net 27 times (one 2-pointer) and adding nine assists. 2006: Appeared in all 12 games for the Pride playing both Midfield as well as Attack. Scored 29 points on 16 goals, 4 two-point goals, 9 assists. Had a season high 5 points in three different games. Finished the season with 18 points in the final four games. 2005: Ford played in only one game in 2005 with the Barrage, coming on June 12 at Baltimore. In that game he picked up one ground ball, took three shots and did not score. 2004: Was drafted by the Philadelphia Barrage, Scored a career high two goals (the only two goals of his career) in a game against the Pride on June 12. As a Collegian: At John's Hopkins, Ford was a Second Team All-American as a senior, when he led the team in scoring with 44 goals and nine assists for 53 points. His 44 goals are the 10th-highest single-season total in school history. He ranks 11th in school history in goals (101) and 15th in points (160) and 17th in assists (59). Ford helped the Blue Jays to three appearances in the Final Four (2002, 2003, 2004) and one trip to the national championship game (2003). Hopkins compiled a record of 47-10 during his career. Personal: A resident of Philadelphia, Ford works as an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania, in charge of recruiting. Ford was also an all-state soccer player in high school. |
