As a Pro:
Baran joined the Pride through a compensatory selection made after the 2006 Collegiate Draft.
2007:
Baran played in three games, starting one for the Pride. His lone start came on August 11, 2007 at Long Island. The Pride lost that game 15-14, but Baran was named MLL Goalie of the Week after making 25 saves.
2006:
He dressed for one game but did not see any playing time. A three-year starter for Bucknell, Baran finished his colegiate career with 465 saves ranking him sixth all-time at Bucknell.
As a Collegian:
In 2006, Baran started all 14 games for the Bucknell Bison. He posted a 7.28 GAA and a .575 save percentage. In 2005, Baran started every game for the Orange & Blue and was one of the Patriot League's top goalies. He lead the team to an 8-5 record with a 8.06 GAA and a .588 save percentage. Baran earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors in both 2005 and 2006. In 2004, He started all 14 games and played 95% of the team's minutes in the crease.
Personal:
Baran attends dental school at Temple University, and hopes to become a general practitioner. The son of Jack and Sandy Baran, he has two brothers, Chris and Ryan and a sister, Kathy.
