Biography:
As a Pro: Thomson was acquired by the Pride with one of three selections awarded to the team after the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft.
2007: In just five games, Thomson scored 10 points, and had hat tricks in the team’s final two games of the season against Rochester and Long Island. He had a career high four points at Long Island on August 11.
As a Collegian: A captain, Thomson was named to the 2006 Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American squad in the honorable mention category. He was the 2005 NCAA Division 1 leader in goals at 3.38 per game, and was second overall in points. He was the seventh UAlbany player to reach the 100-career goal mark. He was a first-team All-America pick. Thomson posted the fourth highest single-season point total with 74 in school history as a sophomore. That season, he scored 54 goals, the second highest single-season mark. He was the first UAlbany player to account for 40-plus goals in back-to-back seasons. In 2004, he was the America East Conference Rookie of the Year, and was a second-team all-conference selection. He established the school’s freshman record with 47 goals. As a freshman, he tied the NCAA first-round record with six goals against Syracuse.
Personal: Thomson is attending graduate school for an Education Administration degree. He is looking to pursue a career as a university Athletic Director. |
