Biography:
As a Pro: 2007: Played in two games for the Denver Outlaws, before being acquired by the Pride on June 5 for the Pride's second round selection in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft. In those two games for Denver, Unterstein recorded three assists. For the Pride, he had a career high six points against the Machine on June 16 (4g 2a). 2006: Played in seven games for the Rochester Rattlers, scoring seven goals and assisting on 10 others for 17 points. As a Collegian: Unterstein was CAA First Team Selection, as well as an All-America selection his senior year. Additionally, Unterstein was the Conference’s Player of the Year. A Tewaaraton Trophy Finalist in 2006, he led the nation in scoring, tallying 45 goals and adding 37 assists. Personal: Unterstein is currently working towards an MBA at Hofstra University. He hopes to pursue a career in business. An assistant coach at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The son of Linda and Robert Unterstein, he has two younger brothers, Kevin and Michael who both graduated from Hofstra. Unterstein’s older brother, Bob works for Merrill Lynch. |
