Biography:
As a Pro: Berry was selected in the third round (23rd pick overall) of the 200 MLL Supplemental Draft. 2006: After three years out of the MLL, Berry returned for the Los Angeles Riptide, winning 37 of 65 faceoffs, and picked up a career high 17 ground balls over three games. 2002: Berry again served as a face-off man for the Pride, winning 10 of the 23 draws he took that season. He picked up seven ground balls. 2001: Berry took 44 face-offs for the Pride in 2001, winning 24 of them. He played in four games, but did not make a start. As a Collegian: Berry, a captain, led the Towson Tigers to their first NCAA Semifinals appearance in a decade. Berry is Towson's all time leader in career face-off wins with 507, including 257 in his senior season. Berry broke Towson's single game face-off win record previously held by Mark Goers (23) with 24 wins against University of Delaware (1999). He broke his own face-off record for most wins in a single game against Loyola University with 25 in 2001. Berry, who earned All-American honors as a senior, was also named the "best face-off man in college lacrosse” by Inside Lacrosse Magazine. Personal: Berry sells employee benefits for Chesepeake Benefits Services in Chestertown, MD, and is an assistant lacrosse coach at Washington College. Justin married his wife Shannon, last November. He is the son of Judy Barroll and Dennis Berry. Berry is an avid hunter and fisher. |
