Biography:
As a Collegian: 2007: Ranked 11th in the nation in face-off winning percentage (.607). Won 88 draws in 145 attempts. His .607 winning percentage is ninth on SU’s single-season record list. Third on the Orange with 41 ground balls. Had at least five face-off wins in a game nine times. Recorded four games where picked up at least five ground balls. Won 21 faceoffs against Albany and had 12 ground balls. Both totals were SU season bests. Was 11-for-13 on faceoffs versus Rutgers. 2006: Did not play in any games. 2005: Played in all 13 games. Tied for the team lead in ground balls with 49. Took a team-high 227 faceoffs and won 121 for a .533 face-off winning percentage. Against Massachusetts in the NCAA Tournament, he took 28 of the game’s 35 draws and won 16. Enjoyed an .824 face-off winning percentage against Army in the first game of the season (14-of-17). 2004: Second on the team in face-off winning percentage (.530) and 19 ground balls on the season. Sensational in the playoffs, winning 12-of-19 and 8-of-19 faceoffs against Albany and Georgetown, respectively. Against Johns Hopkins in the NCAA semifinals, he recorded five ground balls and won 16-of-26 faceoffs.
